B2B Yield and Business Development Manager

Purpose of the role

Suited for those with a need to be an all-rounder, we are looking for a responsible person for analysing market trends and sales strategies whilst monitoring competitor performance to enable effective yield management especially for accommodation bookings, product availability, and maximizing margins. Liaising with sales departments you will identify and drive occupancy with our accommodation partners. Ideal for an all-rounder, you define and work on long-term organizational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Utilise rate comparison reports to identify and react to pricing opportunities within the business;
  • Competitor pricing and seasonal rate positioning;
  • Consulting third party intermediaries to gain maximum exposure & revenue;
  • Set and update rate strategy per market segment;
  • Supporting the sales team with promotional information to drive sales;
  • Identifying potential new customers, present to them, convert them into clients and continue to grow business;
  • Actively approach targeted business clients (telephone, email, social networks, events, etc.);
  • Help manage existing clients to ensure satisfaction, asking for feedback;
  • Conduct market research (analyse competitors, efficiency of sales strategies, etc.);
  • Collaboration with an array of cross-functional team members and external vendors;
  • Defines workflows and ensures process improvements in the short and long terms;
  • The ambassador of Asian Trails Indonesia for any related sales and marketing activities in close collaboration with Asian Trails head office.
  • Setting up various plans and reports based on business development and internal communication strategies, ranging from SOP’s to business contingency plans in case of emergencies
  • Reports directly to the Managing Director


  • Prior experience in directly managing tourism B2B digital marketing with focus on yield management;
  • Fluency in English. Good command of other European languages is seen as an advantage;
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high level of enthusiasm and motivation;
  • Excellent communication skill;
  • Analytical and commercial in their approach, with effective problem solving aptitude;
  • Strategic thinker with strong market knowledge;
  • Attention to detail, ability to translate data into understandable & actionable information;
  • Able to present and influence at board level;
  • Dynamic and motivating with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and deadlines;
  • Proactive and creative mentality with curiosity and desire to learn;
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects;
  • Proficient computer and system skills;
  • Must be very comfortable with continuously changing opportunities and priorities;
  • Team player with ability to work cross-functionally;
  • Prior DMC or Tour Operator experience is an advantage
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season. A “Can Do” attitude and positive thinking, includes creative thinking
  • A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to prioritize and organize are preferred skill sets to fill this role. Working under pressure is to be expected
  • The position is open for Indonesian and foreign nationals while preference is given to Indonesian nationals.
