Finance Analyst | Thailand
About the role

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for financial record-keeping, reporting and analysis. This role involves performing various accounting tasks, including but not limited to processing transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail and proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track operational costs, identifying any cost-saving opportunities;
  • Conduct regular cost analysis and provide recommendations to management on how to improve profitability;
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for improving financial performance;
  • Provide detailed reports and analysis for senior management and decision-making;
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements;
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports, ensuring all financial data is accurate and compliant with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS);
  • Support the creation of reports for external auditors and regulatory agencies;
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing historical financial data and performing variance analysis;
  • Monitor financial performance throughout the year, providing insights for cost control and profitability improvements;
  • Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state and federal tax regulations;
  • Support the accounting team during tax audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations;
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting or analysis, preferably in a corporate environment or public accounting firm;
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS);
  • Proficiency in financial accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Excel);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is a plus;
