Bird watching soars in Cambodia

In conjunction with ornithologists in Siem Reap, Asian Trails is developing more birdwatching exploration activities away from Angkor Archaeological Park’s more popular pathways.

This informative excursion, led by leading experts, gravitates from the main temple ruins to quieter locations. With local knowledge of seasons, migration and nesting trends, avid birders will spot some of Cambodia’s more diverse species, including the Hainan blue flycatcher, the white-throated rock thrush and the forest wagtail.

This flexible full-day tour can include visits to Angkor’s main ruins so the beauty of the temples can be combined with ‘birding’ in an exceptional environment
