Crab preservation in Prachuap Khiri Khan

Prachuap Khiri Khan is a province along the Gulf of Thailand, 240km south of Bangkok. Nong Khao Neaw, the seashore community here, are mainly fishermen who also depend on aquatic creatures for their livelihood. They are protecting the marine life like the blue crab by building crab banks and fish houses with coconut leaf.

Asian Trails Thailand has joined force with this community to get guests involved with the conservation project. Highlights of the two-day programme include visit to the crab nursery, learning to nurse pregnant crabs, building crab banks and releasing fish house. Itinerary includes island hopping and sightseeing.
