Homestay and CBT Project in Vietnam’s Da Bac

The Community-based Tourism project in Da Bac district, about 100km from Vietnam’s capital Hanoi, is implemented by Australian NGO, Action on Poverty (AOP).

It trains the ethnic minority groups with skills to run tourism business activities and provide them with a sustainable income. This social enterprise offers homestays, trekking and cultural activities for tourists.

Asian Trails Vietnam has a three-day programme for clients to be part of the project with homestays in the remote Sung and Da Bia villages. Guests get an insight into the ethnic community’s way of life, take part in local activities and try the area’s specialities.
