Rustic village opens for tourism

Chi Phat is a rural Cambodian village deep in the jungles of the Cardamom Mountains. Residents have opened their village to intrepid tourists to raise income.

The guides here are former poachers as the area was once infamous for poaching. Instead of hunting wildlife they have now turned to tourism to support their families. For three days discover the laid-back life in a Chi Phat homestay with Asian Trails Cambodia.

Enjoy traditional Khmer cuisine, trek in the Cardamom forests, explore bat caves, swim in waterfalls, shoot the rapids and cruise on the Piphot River. The tour departs from Phnom Penh.
