Sowing seeds for a sustainable future

Asian Trails Myanmar has planted a better future for villagers living in a remote community alongside the Irrawaddy River.

Our green-fingered team from the Bagan office chose perfect weather conditions and the right soil for the task at hand – a tree planting day near Selan village. Due to erosion in the area over the past years, the village was moved to safer grounds. However, relocated villagers still require ongoing support. In recent years, over 100 neem trees have been planted by our staff and locals to ensure a more sustainable future.

The neem is a fast growing tree that tolerates poor soil conditions and this species also has beneficial medicinal qualities.
