Cook and bond in Penang's
Tropical Spice Garden
Cooking exotic food is a great way to challenge, as well as cooperate with each other.
Tailored to your desires
Cooking exotic food is a great way to challenge, as well as cooperate with each other. Asian Trials Malaysia is offering a cooking class at Penang’s Tropical Spice Garden to do just that.
Visit the wet market for an introduction to locally-grown produce and ingredients that are used for cooking. Before class begins tour the Garden, a bio-diverse living museum of spices and hundreds of exotic flora.
The class is at the Tropical Spice Garden Cooking School, which has 10 individual purpose-built work stations for a hands-on cooking experience. Under the guidance of professional chefs – each specialising in Nyonya, Malay and Indian cuisine – learn to cook dishes like assam laksa and chicken tandoori, and concoct spice-inspired drinks. Experience ends with lunch at the Garden’s patio.
