Sapa, Vietnam’s emerging
incentive destination
Tailored to your desires
The small mountain town of Sapa in Vietnam’s Lao Cai Province is known for its natural beauty and cultural diversity. It is a favourite with individual travellers, but rarely featured in MICE planners’ programmes because of its remote location and limited infrastructure.
In the last three years Sapa’s status changed with the opening of a new highway, several new five star hotels including the Bill Bensley-designed 249-room Hôtel de la Coupole – MGallery by Sofitel, and a cable car to Mount Fansipan -Indochina’s highest peak. These put Sapa on the map for exclusive incentives.
One of Asian Trails Vietnam’s signature MICE activities is a private dinner on the summit of Mount Fansipan after tourists have departed – a truly unique event on ‘the Roof of Indochina’.
