All Vientiane Roads lead to the Pra That Luang

Pha That Luang is one of Laos’ most treasured Buddhist monuments as reflected by its entirely golden colour that glistens under the sun and moon.
This large stupa is in a characteristic banana flower shape, reaches 45 metres into the sky and is enclosed by golden cloisters with tiny windows. Local legend cites that That Luang was built to house a breast bone of the Buddha.
