A blessing ceremony inside Angkor

Blessings and mantras form the back bone of Buddhism, and a simple gesture of tying a string around your wrist, loaded with positivity, can enrich a visitor’s journey through Cambodia.
According to beliefs, the bearer of these strings will carry Buddhist teachings with them and should keep then wrapped around their wrist until it falls off automatically. A sign that the blessings have done their duty and signalling the time for a new one.
It’s the experience that counts here; a reminder of how such simple acts of spiritual belief imbues the bearer.
