The Hanging Temple at Mount Hengshan

A feat of near impossibility, considering the fact that this Mount Hengshan temple was constructed 300 A.D. over a period of 150 years.
But still standing (more hanging) tall after it received its first major refurbishment at around 1900, this complex fits the definition of one of the world’s lost wonders.
Situated in the Shanxi province, a good 60 km southwest of Datong, visitors usually try not to look down when moving through this 40-room counting complex with an even larger amount of passages and wooden connections.
