Countless Buddhas to admire at Man Fat Sze

Hong Kong’s Man Fat Sze may be translated as Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, but it actually does not house monks.
On the other hand, it holds true to its name with its collection of thousands and thousands of Buddha images, placed around this religious, memorable complex in the New Territories.
Dating back to the 1950s, the over 12,000 statues of various sizes, poses and colours are the largest magnet for explorers when climbing the 400 steps up to the inner sanctum.
