Walking Through the World of Khmer history

Located just north of the majestic grounds of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, it houses by far the most elaborate and well-preserved collection of Khmer art in the country.
Surrounded by a well-maintained courtyard, all halls and display areas have been set up chronologically to bring forward the story of what, how and when Cambodia raised its name to historical fame.
The museum is seen as an excellent start before entering the Angkor Archaeological Site in Siem Reap, with ample examples connecting both national treasures.
