The Niagara Falls of Laos’ Champasak

Nicknamed “The 2nd Niagara Falls”, the massive Khone Phapheng Falls are located via a well-paved road, 160 kilometres south of Pakse and is the biggest and one of the most beautiful waterfalls in South-East Asia.
 With its enormous water displacement day in day out, it has always formed a great natural barrier against foreign aggression, being a huge obstacle for navigation in the Mekong River.
