The arrival of a Hong Kong historical icon

Flares of excitement and a burst of nostalgia arrive when waiting patiently at the main station of Hong Kong’s Peak Tram at Garden Road Admiralty.
A well-preserved means to transport former British residents to their abodes along the slopes and on top of Mount Victoria on the Hong Kong Island side. Running daily from dawn to dusk, this funicular railroad zigzags along high rises with glimpses of Hong Kong’s skyline passing by.
For more than a century, the Peak Tram has withstood the test of time in maintaining its ambiance and historical importance while staying abreast with the modern safety standards.
