Pol Pot’s grasp on the country has left a permanent mark through Cambodia since he proclaimed leadership and ruled with a genocidal fist between 1975 and 1979.
Combined with the Killing Fields, it is not uncommon to see an emotional reaction of some kind during this half day exploration of Phnom Penh’s black page in the history books.
