Airport Representative

Purpose of the role
    This position is for our new joint venture company with one of the world’s leading leisure travel groups and the employment will be with the new company once established. This position is to ensure exceptional service is delivered to customers in destination. Airport Representatives will provide a memorable start and end to their holiday experience.
Overall Responsibilities
  • Ensures that commitments made to customers are met. Makes prompt, clear decisions to resolve issues and takes responsibility to take the actions required to address these
  • Welcomes customers in destination, ensuring initial concerns and queries are dealt with in a timely manner ensuring total resolution at the start of their holiday
  • Maintains respectful relationships with third parties in-resort, including handling agents, agency staff and other tour operator employees
  • Coordinate with guides and drivers to ensure daily job assignments are completed as per operation department requests
  • Actively manages airport paperwork to ensure customers receive correct information on arrival and departure
  • Helps facilitate guests departure from destination, assisting with transfers and resolving any issues which may arise at the airport whilst promoting any relevant services that may enhance the customer’s journey home
  • Provides a holistic customer experience as an active member of the in-destination team
  • Educated to University degree or equivalent
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and written
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in travel and tourism
  • Able to build strong internal/external relationships
  • Has a truly service minded approach to the role
  • Strong decision making skills and effective at problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible on working hours during peak season
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season. A "Can Do" attitude and positive thinking, includes creative thinking
