Rising above the horizon, one can find karst stone mountains, meandering streams with various caves and caverns hidden in the green foliage. As its small yet bustling town centre features numerous options to wine, dine and shop the day away, the beating heart of Yangshuo lies along its muddy paths and beyond its verdant green horizon. Destined to take on a Yangshuo journey of a lifetime? This 3-hour sidecar adventure may just well be what fuels wanderlust to new heights.

TRAIL ITINERARY

-
14:00 - 17:00
You are welcomed by your guide and sidecar driver at your Yangshuo booked hotel before this ethnic ride on board a 1950s Chang Jiang sidecar, one of the first mass-produced vehicles of the newly founded People’s Republic, takes off. Replicated and maintained to adhere to today’s safety standards, these three-wheeled fascinating and historically unique means of transport bring perfectly forward the country’s narrative.
The majestic part lies outside the town centre and this is where you will be heading. With the wind through your hair, your driver and tour guide will tell you more about the locality and stories of this region while taking you to quaint villages and farming communities as well as showing you the local wildlife such as the geckos and buffaloes. We start at the quaint little village of Dabu where we navigate through narrow country roads where local farms and ancient villages turn around every turn and behind every incline.
En route, a visit to a rural school is included to show how the educational system works in these parts of China. Including the 3-5 stops along the way before arriving back at our starting point include a 400-year old village; a testimony of how time has stood still; a kumquat farm where visitors can see how these delectable orange fruits are farmed and mingle with the locals at a local wet market, known to be a beehive of business of a regional nature. Watching the scenic landscape from a higher vantage point will certainly not be left aside.
After this authentic dip in the culturally enthralling side of Yangshuo, the three-wheeled drive back to the starting point marks the end of 3-hours of open-aired exploration. This adrenaline-filling tour ends with a transfer back to downtown Yangshuo.
