TRAIL ITINERARY
08:00 - 15:00
After breakfast at your hotel, you will travel through Chiang Mai’s countryside with nurseries selling sizable mature trees and flowering bushes when getting closer to the village, to the Gibbon Adventure Base at Baan Mae Kampong. Then start with a thrilling flight of the gibbon. Our safety team accompanies you and teaches you how to move through the trees with the speed and grace of a young gibbon. This is an extreme adventure like no other on the planet!
On this zip-lining/flight of the gibbon tour, you will experience the beauty and magic of Thailand’s rainforests. High in the tree top of a pristine national park, you will glide through the jungle canopy along over kilometres of thrilling wire zip-lines, connected by 33 platforms, 3 suspended sky-bridges and lowering stations. You zip line easily from tree to tree on a spectacular and gradual downhill course. Take your time to linger in your favourite places and soak up the fragrance, clean air and animal life. The safety team will accompany and teach you how to move through the trees with the speed and grace of a young gibbon. A Thai set lunch is inclusive before trekking to the village waterfall.
After breath-taking activities in the morning, you will explore Mae Kampong village with an unspoiled natural beauty lying 1,300 meters above sea level with an average temperature of 10 to 18 degrees Celsius all year round. You’ll have the chance to walk through the community forest, where the villagers grow tea and coffee, to see how they preserve their forest and how they live in harmony with nature. It’s here also where the Royal Family suggested the village produce its own hydro-electricity from the local stream and waterfall which has turned to be the village’s main source income by selling of the electricity to other village down the mountain.
Return back from your high-flying adventure at your Chiang Mai Hotel at around 3 pm.
