Cycling through
Chiang Mai at Sunset
Once you are mesmerized of Chiang Mai by day, you will have to see what the city unveils when
night falls. A sunset/evening tour by bicycle reveals more than what you may think of.
For 3 hours, temples and markets spring to life in the evening light.
WHY THIS TOUR?
Shining a different light, a sunset light to be exact, is the theme for a leisure pedalling tour through the Rose of the North. Seeing Chiang Mai with new eyes, and when the sun has set, is earmarked for more fun-filled exploration. Scenes under a clear blue sky make way for hues of the sun setting and the streets teeming with life once office doors close for the day and locals mingle, eat, and chat the evening away.
A safe haven for cyclists for decades, Chiang Mai’s pedal pros have dotted down an out-of-the-ordinary tour option when your daily escapades in and outside Chiang Mai need to be further fulfilled. Call it almost an exquisite example of witnessing Thailand’s northern city right before and way after the sun has set while “creating your own air-conditioning”.

TRAIL ITINERARY
18:00 - 21:00
None of our customers have come back from this night ride through Chiang Mai with the slightest hint of disappointment. A real evening and night adventure as we explore the Rose of the North by bicycle through an illuminated centre. When night falls, temples and public parks light up and come to life, it is here where joining the fun and passing scenes of local city vibes encapsulated the coming hours on a bicycle saddle.
We meet our guide for the evening at our central meeting point in Chiang Mai before 6 pm. Here, you will give a short briefing about your bike and general safety issues before heading off. Through small back roads and alleyways, this night ride starts along the ancient city which includes ample scenes of local life, temples with an abundance of glitters that look even more beautiful at night than during the day, and a night market selling the most delicious local delicacies.
As some fun only starts after sunset and may not always be present on the day that you hop on the saddle and paddle behind your guide, the route may change. But overall, this exciting yet gentle 10 to 13 kilometre-long sunset ride will show that also Chiang Mai can be considered as a city that never sleeps. We include sufficient breaks for refreshments and snacks before moving on.
Without a doubt, both couples and families will truly enjoy this 3-hour cycling tour before returning back to the central meeting point before heading back on own arrangement to your overnight address.
