Full Day The Five Elements on Bali

Spiritual traditions observed for finding balance on Bali

According to holistic beliefs in Bali, dating back centuries ago, the body is a well-balanced element in the universe. Maintaining and healing have formed the backbone of the Balinese principle of Sekala-Niskala – a balance between the spiritual and the physical world.

Within one’s body, five elements are essential to reach a higher and more divine state of peacefulness across these elements, guided by traditional healers that have followed in the footsteps of their masters and teachers. A day of healing is brought to you at the birthplace of Sekala-Niskala – Bali – where one will explore the ways of how these five elements are balanced out via massages, vegan meals, introduction to meditation and some downtime at a riverfront pool lounge.

Full Day

A private transfer from your hotel accommodation along selected beaches and regions on Bali (Southern Bali and Ubud only), together with a guide, starts this holistic escape for a day of spiritual cleansing and relaxation. The drive to your Bali-based holistic centre takes approximately 1 hour, depending on the location of your accommodation. A warm welcome by the team behind this centre of Sekala-Niskala affirms your day of wellness with a choice of a healing massage (90 minutes) or a healing energy session, conducted by expert healers and treatment specialists. The soothing massage or energy healing treatment will focus on ensuring that out-of-balance points in your body will be back into alignment to optimize your health.

Meditation and paying respect to the philosophy of Sekala-Niskala is an important aspect of the Five Elements concept. During the course of 1.5 hours, guests are introduced to the background of this unique approach to wellness, accompanied by an introduction to meditation (between 45 and 60 minutes). The simple yet healing power on how this came to existence will leave an aura of relaxation and peacefulness over you.

A 3-course gourmet lunch is served at the Sakti Dining Room. The balance of nutrition and living a healthier lifestyle are an important part of the Sekala-Niskala. The meal is a fine balance between fresh ingredients (often vegan) with a delectable taste.

The afternoon is reserved to further be guided by the master healers in how one can work towards optimising a healthier lifestyle with simple practices and finding time to unwind. The so called ‘Sakti Ritual’ (2 hours) envelopes the Five Elements in a human’s body and with careful explanation and becoming a part of the healing process, guests will feel fresh after this 2-hour session. As much as finding balance with food and massages, the time to unwind is taking an important role, too. Prior to your transfer back to your accommodation, you spend the rest of the afternoon chilling next by the riverfront pool lounge, reflecting on all the wellness that has been bestowed on you during this day. Transfer back from the holistic centre to your booked accommodation.

NB: This program can also be booked with an early afternoon start (around 13:00 hrs | 1pm). Guests will enjoy a 3-course dinner at the Sakti Dining Room and will return back to their hotel on Bali after 8pm.
