Go Local! A typical Thai Evening
Go Local! A typical
Nothing beats having fun like only the locals know how to; Samui’s Chaweng beach forms the décor
for an evening out, the authentic way. It is a perfect balance of local flavours, religious
sites and sharing a ‘Moo Kra Ta’ meal with your fellow explorers.
WHY THIS TOUR?
When in Thailand, following in their footsteps for an evening filled with fun, food and more fun is almost a given. The society in Thailand is all about ‘sanuk’ (having fun), and this is best achieved when among friends, family and sharing stories over a meal. With its popularity at an all-time high for its dreamy beaches and wonderful nightlife, only the locals know where one can truly find ‘sanuk’ on their island.
An evening on Samui will never be the same when moving away from the trodden tourism paths for a local dining experience, a small fresh food market, and feeling the spiritualism flowing through one of the island’s religious centres off Chaweng.
17:00 - 22:00
Just before the sun is setting, a driver will be welcoming you at your resort on Samui (conditions apply) as you join other local Thai enthusiasts on this authentic spree for the coming 5 hours. Your first stop of the evening will be right at the seaside: thriving still until the late hours, a beehive of activity is observed at a small local fresh market, particularly known by the local community.
There is plenty to see and do for island life immersion in its purest form. Moving along to our next point of interest is the Golden Chedi, an example of Buddhist magnificence, overlooking all of Northern Samui and the Chaweng Bay region. Particularly on a clear day, the sunsets are mesmerizing, to say the least. As your guide explains the essence of Buddhism, you slowly make your way back to the vehicle to end the evening in Thai style. ‘Moo Kra Ta’ is a highly popular local hot pot and BBQ dining experience that brings out the best of socializing with the locals. The venue for the evening is a popular hot spot for dinner across the island where you will get the chance to eat fresh seafood, sushi and several western dishes. Of course, your guide for the evening is happy to show you the tricks on how to get your ingredients grilled to perfection.
With little space for an evening dessert, it is time to head back to your Samui resort, signalling the end of a great evening. We do expect to reach your resort at around 10 pm.
