Kota Kinabalu by Night
and Cultural Show
At night, Kota Kinabalu delivers a new view on its bustling city life. Whether you aim to
find souvenirs, watching life go by from the best viewing point and end your evening
with an authentic dinner, this is captured perfectly in this fun-filled evening.
WHY THIS TOUR?
The sprawling cityscape of Kota Kinabalu is a blissful destination for discerned travellers; often abbreviated to KK, the gateway to everything nature continues to emerge as a major player in the Malaysian tourism industry. With the magnificent Mount Kinabalu in constant view, we follow roads that lead away from the hustle and bustle of one of the country’s largest cities. With its prime location along the South China Sea, Kota Kinabalu visitors will experience a variety of activities for all ages and interests.
Before moving on and further explore the Borneo landscape and the Kinabalu National Park area, it is well worth the time to mingle with us for an evening exploration. From the local evening market to watching the twinkling of lights from Signal Hill, it all will be so worth it when we include a cultural evening with dinner to round off another evening in surprising Kota Kinabalu.
18:00 - 20:30
Your guide for the evening will be ready at around 18:00 hrs at your hotel in downtown Kota Kinabalu. It is a short ride from there to one of the thriving centres of the city, once the sun has set. A pulsating vibe of buying, selling, and some haggling emerges as soon as you open the doors of your vehicle with stalls filling up the street.
It is right here where you can find perfect mementoes for bringing back home. After this visit, we head up to the city’s most visited vantage points, commanding astounding views all across the city and the islands off the coast. Signal Hill’s observation deck offers amazing views from its almost UFO-shaped platforms. The hill used to be a signalling station for arriving and departing ships and being the highest point of the city, one can assure that the views will be quite the drive up.
As the evening continues, so does our excursion. Malaysia’s cultural values and affinity for good food brings you and your travel partner to a leading restaurant in town. Using culinary influences from across the country, your dining venue will be one that captures the essence of Malaysian food, prepared by using authentic recipes. In the end, you can opt to continue the night at one of the bars (on own arrangement) or head back to your hotel for the night. The night may be still young, and Kota Kinabalu will deliver in whatever you may have in mind.

Slowly emerging as an upcoming urbanisation of Greater Bangkok, Thonburi remains an authentic pearl, separated by waterways and characterized by temples and communities.
