A remembrance of its rich history and constructed in a Sino-Portuguese style, it would not be complete if you had the chance to wander around its history and unique architecture. Cited to still house the historical essence and preserve it the way, the islands first colonist set this up, walking along the main streets is wading into a touch of Phuket’s authentic legacy.

With delightful examples of Indo-Portuguese mansions constructed by Chinese tin and rubber barons, Phuket town was originally settled about a century ago by Chinese residents of Malaysia who were drawn to the lucrative mineral deposits. Many of the well-maintained residences are now home to restaurant, bars, galleries and boutiques, which give it a more than charming feeling, and a totally different view of what the island is best known for. There will be ample time to browse around and see what’s selling, cooking and brewing under local ownerships.
