Indonesia speed boat crossings between Bali & Lombok/Gili Islands still closed

Following to the advice from harbor master in Bali all speedboats transfer between Bali & Lombok would be stopped until further notice. This is due to extreme sea conditions causing crossing with small boats to become extremely dangerous.

We anticipate that the speedboats will be back in operation around the 25th/ 26th July, however the seas are most likely to be remained quite rough. We have already advice alternative arrangements for clients travelling to or from Lombok and the Gili Islands and are in close contact with guests. The options available to clients will be to cross by slow boat / ferry or to fly directly between Bali and Lombok.

Flights are the most direct route and will save the most amount of time but will incur an addition supplement to cover the extra costs involved. For those travelling to the Gili Islands it is possible to transfer onto a small boat in Lombok and make the short crossing to the Gili Islands from there.
