Half Day Syriam Tour

Our exciting exploration trades the hustle and bustle of Yangon for the quieter area of Syriam. Now known as Thanlyin, this town boasts a rich history, with some splendid pagodas and monuments. It dates back to the 15th century and became a major trading port. It is connected to Yangon by one of the longest bridges in Myanmar.

We board a boat to travel to Ye Le Paya Temple set on a tiny islet on the river. This shrine contains an impressive golden Buddha in a small intricately decorated room. Besides enjoying the ornate architecture of this shrine, you can feed the massive catfish splashing about on the edge of the temple complex.

We then enjoy a leisurely walk through the riverside market and explore two more temples, ahead of our drive back to Yangon.
