Business Development Manager (India & Middle East Market) | Vietnam
About the role

The Business Development Manager plays an integral role in developing new collaborative partnerships while maintaining internal processes within our office in Vietnam. The successful candidate will actively contribute to both developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing partnerships with our Indian and Middle-Eastern customers. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, the ideal candidate will join a dynamic team of travel professionals in Vietnam.

Responsibilities
  • Help to lead and manage the Indian department in Vietnam;
  • Manage and operate MICE groups from India to Vietnam;
  • Negotiate with suppliers to find suitable new products for the Indian market;
  • Correspond with overseas travel agents and partners to provide accurate, up-to-date travel information;
  • Create new products and MICE itineraries that match the specific needs of the Indian market; prepare regular product updates for newsletters;
  • Prepare monthly sales report;
  • Ensure smooth communication and cooperation with agents, ensuring that all enquiries are handled within 24 hours or maximum 48 hours;
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure all services are booked accurately;
  • Learn and competently handle all aspects of Asian Trails’ pricing and back-office system;
  • Follow up on payments from agents that do not have credit facilities;
  • Stay informed about all tourism-related issues in the destination;
  • Perform any other duties requested by the management, including sales calls;
  • Seek out new suppliers and new products for MICE.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the tourism or MICE industry;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team organisation skills;
  • Strong project management and planning abilities;
  • Excellent negotiation skills;
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, or German considered an advantage;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Excel, internet tools, and other relevant software;
  • Ability to work under high pressure;
  • Dynamic, independent, resourceful, mature, and results-oriented.
