Five Latin American countries gain visa-free access to China
Effective 1 June 2025, China will expand its visa-free entry policy to include citizens of Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay. Under this new policy, valid through to 31 May 2026, eligible travellers can stay in China for up to 30 days without a visa for purposes including tourism, business, family visits and cultural exchanges.
This development opens the door for more Latin American visitors to discover China’s rich cultural heritage, iconic landmarks and dynamic cities. From the awe-inspiring Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, to the vibrant streets of Shanghai and the spectacular landscapes of Guilin, China offers a wide array of experiences to captivate every type of tourist.
These five nations join the list of 38 countries already eligible for visa-free travel, as outlined in a previous announcement. To learn more or to start planning a journey for your clients, contact Asian Trails China
