Gourmet guide to Vietnamese food

Following the launch of Vietnam’s first Michelin Guide in 2023, Asian Trails delivers a culinary adventure that serves up the nation’s most authentic cuisine.

The gastronomic exploration begins at 6.30 pm and is guided by a food expert. Guests are taken off the tourist trail to a street food paradise to taste bánh xèo and bánh khọt, (rice pancakes, packed with vegetables and herbs). Next, is a stroll along a thoroughfare known for its barbecue seafood vendors and a popular restaurant to taste the best bò lá lốt, (beef in wild betel leaves) or bánh canh, (special pork noodle soup) or thick noodles soup with grilled chopped fish.

The mouth-watering tasting continues as foodies sample bột chiên, (fried rice cakes with egg and spring onions). Next up is a classic banh mi (baguette), with a perfect fusion of four delicious flavours. The exploration of District 3 reveals exceptional BBQ seafood, enhanced with beer or soft drinks.

The full list of food options at each venue will be specified for individual selection during the tour. This four hour activity will leave appetites satisfied and minds enriched, with a perfect insight into the best dishes available in Vietnam.
