New air routes enhance Asia’s connectivity

New developments in air travel across Asia are creating exciting opportunities for tourism throughout the region. Vietnam Airlines will expand its European network with the launch of direct flights between Hanoi and Milan, Italy, beginning on 1 July 2025. This route, the first direct connection to Italy by a Vietnamese carrier, will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Vietnam Airlines will also launch new direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Copenhagen, Denmark, on 25 December 2025. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with return services from Copenhagen on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Air Cambodia has resumed its service between Sihanoukville and Bangkok, now flying twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. This route offers greater access to Cambodia’s southern coast and nearby island resorts, including popular Koh Rong. The airline also continues its daily service between Phnom Penh and Bangkok and has recently expanded its fleet with a new ATR 72-600 aircraft to enhance regional connectivity.

These new air routes will make travel to and around Asia more convenient and accessible, helping to boost regional tourism.
