Supporting Samui’s island community

Asian Trails’ Koh Samui staff continue to expand their corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. The team in Southern Thailand used the occasion to give back to the island community. The day involved planting coconut trees near a beach to prevent soil erosion, followed by donations of food and supplies to monks at Wat Thong Krut temple.

A highlight of the event was a visit to Baan Bo Ran Na, a 180-year-old heritage home owned by a Thai-Chinese family. This property is open to the public and our staff gained an insight into the architectural style, the fascinating history of the owners’ lives and how they built a successful business selling various products created from coconuts.

After treating our Koh Samui suppliers to a ‘thank you’ Thai buffet lunch at a local restaurant, the team returned to the office for a fun lucky draw game.

CSR activities are an integral part of our group-wide operations – if your company or organisation would like to collaborate with us, please contact our team at Asian Trails Thailand.
