Whale of a time in Malaysian sea sanctuary

For an exceptional wildlife experience, the time has arrived to view whale sharks near Lankayan Island in the Sulu Sea.

Situated off the Malaysian state of Sabah, the island is part of the Sugud Islands Marine Conservation Area. From March to May, whale sharks are attracted to this pristine marine environment. Between June and September, visitors can witness turtle hatchlings making their way to the sea. The abundance of Green and Hawksbill turtles in this area enables even snorkelers in shallow waters to spot these amazing creatures.

For those seeking deeper underwater exploration, Lankayan Island Dive Resort accommodates qualified ocean divers.
