Jumbo effort to protect elephants
Asian Trails’ Malaysia team recently returned to the Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre for their annual CSR activity and volunteer programme.
The sanctuary is dedicated to relocating displaced elephants and raising public awareness about their conservation.
This year, 29 team members took part, beginning with a 5.30 am start and a two-hour journey to the site. After an introductory briefing from the guides, the team embarked on a full schedule of hands-on activities focused on elephant protection.
The experience offered a valuable insight into saving wildlife, while also fostering teamwork and a deeper appreciation of nature. After a productive morning, the team enjoyed the memorable experience of feeding the jumbos.
The visit served as a meaningful reminder that small, consistent actions can create lasting change, reflecting Asian Trails’ ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable travel.
