Half Day Cultural Cooking Class

Get a taste of Singapore’s rich food heritage and culture with this immersive cooking class. This cultural cooking class is perfect for those looking to explore the fascinating side of Singapore’s food heritage and culture. We will get a hands-on cooking lessons under the guidance of a friendly instructors, who will share interesting information about Singapore’s food culture, the range of local ingredients and influences of Singapore’s signature dishes, and the secrets to its hawker centres. After the introduction, we get hands-on and learn family recipes passed down through generations, including laksa, Hainanese chicken rice and satay. After cooking up an aromatic storm in the kitchen, we get to feast on the fruits of our labour for lunch.

Route
  • Duration: 3 hours cooking class with starting time at 9.30 am OR 2 pm for private only;
  • Private tours refers to group size of minimum 5 pax and maximum 32 pPax;
  • Cooking Class location: Located in a conservation shophouse next to the Chinatown Visitor Centre and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple (5 minutes’ walk from Chinatown MRT Station);
  • Kindly inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions at least 8 days before the session;
  • Class menu, ingredients and instructor are subject to changes;
  • The class will commence on time, so all participants are advised to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class so we can start the class on time;
  • For group bookings between 16 days and 62 days, the full amount is to be paid 16 days before event date to confirm booking;
  • For group bookings less than 16 days, full amount is to be paid within 5 days of event date to confirm booking;
  • For advance group bookings (i.e. more than 62 days), we require 50% deposit 62 days before event date to confirm booking. The remaining deposit is to be paid on 9 days
    before start of class;
  • We reserve the right to reschedule/cancel any class due to unforeseen circumstances without any prior notice. A full refund of the course fee paid will be returned to
    participants;
  • Cancellation Policy:
    • More than 16 Days from event: No penalty charge;
    • Within 16 Days of event: 100% penalty charge;
    • No Show: 100% penalty charge.
  • This trail programme is operated daily on private and shared basis with English speaking assistance or with separate licenced guide;
  •  3 hours cooking class with starting time at 9.30 am daily;
  • Seat-in-Coach tours are operated daily with English-speaking guide;
  • Seat-in-Coach tours refers to group size of minimum 2 pax and maximum 8 pax.
  • An experienced instructor/facilitator(s) to conduct the class in English;
  • Exclusive use of the cooking studio and dining room;
  • All ingredients necessary for cooking the dishes;
  • Aprons and chef hats will be provided;
  • Free flow of drinking water, soft drinks, coffee & tea;
  • All applicable taxes and service charges.
