Representative Spanish-speaking (6 months contract) | Thailand
About the role

The key objective of this role is to assist Spanish-speaking guests in the destination by providing important information about their journey and ensuring they are comfortable and well-supported throughout their stay. This position is available on a 6-month contract basis.

Responsibilities
  • Visit Spanish-speaking guests or groups at their accommodation;
  • Schedule meetings with guests to ensure they have all the important information about their journey, such as sightseeing attractions and restaurants, and make them feel comfortable during their stay;
  • Inform and advise guests about excursions and make recommendations according to their preferences;
  • Sell optional tours to guests while keeping their health and safety the highest priority during any booked tour or activity;
  • Coordinate with the Operations Department and keep guests informed about pick-up times for airport transfers, supporting with any last-minute amendments to the guest’s travel programme;
  • Work closely with the Accounting and Operations teams in a respectful and fully cooperative manner;
  • Recheck all guest’s services in cooperation with the Operations team;
  • Act as the main contact for guests during their stay. This includes handling any complaints that may arise, assisting with issues with their accommodation, or providing additional support such as arranging doctor’s appointments, scheduling fittings with tailors, or organising vehicles;
  • Prepare all welcome letters for guests;
  • Act as the coordinator between the hotel and the guest;
  • Be available for optional guidance during site inspections, FAM Trips, MICE and OT visits when requested;
  • Be available for tour inspection trips and prepare informative follow-up reports;
  • Respectfully maintain and possibly further enhance good relationships with partner hotels and tour operators as assigned;
  • Properly wear staff uniform and maintain an overall positive and respectable appearance;
  • Fully understand the range of sustainable products available and encourage guests to include relevant ones within their programmes;
  • Invite agents to take part in our Refillable Water Bottle and Carbon Offsetting initiatives;
  • Other tasks as assigned by the head of department.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as a representative in a travel and tourism company is an advantage. Fresh graduates with a major in Spanish are welcome to apply;
  • Good command of Spanish and English, both verbal and written, is essential;
  • Able to work flexible hours;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A proactive team player with an open mind to share ideas and feedback in order to continuously improve overall services and operations at Asian Trails;
  • Good command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and computer skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a gentle and helpful attitude;
  • Hardworking, friendly, and service-minded, with a sense of discretion;
  • Enjoy working with people and providing outstanding customer service;
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work flexible hours;
  • Able to make decisions independently;
  • A “can-do” attitude and positive mindset, including creative thinking, are considered an asset.
