Etihad expands South-East Asian network

Etihad Airways is strengthening its South-East Asian network with the launch of direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Krabi in Thailand and Medan in Indonesia.

From 3rd October 2025, Etihad will become the first airline to operate non-stop flights between Abu Dhabi and Phnom Penh. The service will operate four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, utilising the newly opened Techo International Airport.

With a flight time of approximately seven hours and 10 minutes, this route provides a seamless connection to one of South-East Asia’s fastest-growing tourism destinations.

The airline will also launch daily direct flights to Krabi, Thailand on 9th October 2025. The daily frequency enhances accessibility for tourism operators offering island-hopping and beach holiday packages.

Another addition is a direct flight to Medan, Indonesia, starting on 2nd October 2025, with three weekly departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Medan, the capital of North Sumatra, is a cultural hub and serves as the main gateway to Lake Toba, one of Indonesia’s most breathtaking natural attractions and the world’s largest volcanic lake.
