Sowing sustainability in Thailand

Chiang Mai’s cooler climate and fertile soil produces an abundance of crops. Prominent among the yield is rice which accounts for nearly half of all Thai agricultural output. Our enlightening tour takes guests to a lush paddy field to learn about sustainable cultivation techniques.

This immersive experience is led by seasoned farmers on Ginger Farm, just a 20-minute drive from the ancient city centre. This is one of only a few smallholdings that give an overview of the entire cultivation process – from planting to tasting the end product. Fun farming activities are also available for kids. Lunch with home-grown rice completes a perfect day in the countryside of Northern Thailand.
