Sustainable success scores accolade
Asian Trails is proud to support initiatives that promote sustainable tourism and connect travellers with authentic Thai aquaculture experiences.
A standout example of these is Intara Farm, a key destination within our eco-focused Sustainable Trails. The farm has just been awarded Thailand’s Green Industry Certification for the second consecutive year. Presented by the Ministry of Industry, the accolade recognises the farm’s leadership in sustainable agriculture and tourism.

Nestled off Phuket’s east coast, near Coconut Island, the farm is reached by a short long-tail boat ride from Sapam Bay. The location – once known for pearl cultivation and traditional fishing – offers a meaningful setting for a day of immersive, eco-friendly activities.

Our guests gain insight into sustainable aquaculture, including pearl farming and black salmon rearing. A highlight is the chance to release a snapper fish, a symbolic gesture that supports marine conservation.
The programme also includes kayaking through biodiverse mangrove forests, unwinding with refreshments at an overwater bistro and a lunch prepared by community members. This is an exceptional experience that combines education, nature and culture.

It also reflects Asian Trails’ ongoing commitment to giving back to host communities.
