Techo International Airport takes off
Cambodia’s new Techo International Airport has begun flight operations, ahead of its official inauguration on 20th October 2025.
Developed with a US$1.5 billion investment, the airport is set to significantly boost the country’s global connectivity and support long-term growth in tourism and the wider economy.
Spanning 26,000,000 square metres across Kandal and Takeo provinces, it replaces Phnom Penh International Airport, which had served as the country’s main airport since 1959.
Asian Trails’ team participated in operational readiness testing in August and is fully prepared to assist with all travel and logistics arrangements, including transfers to and from the new airport. For details, contact Asian Trails Cambodia.
