Techo International Airport takes off
As of 9 September 2025, all flights to and from Phnom Penh are now operating out of the new Techo International Airport (KTI), which has officially commenced operations ahead of its formal inauguration on 20 October 2025.
Please note that all scheduled and non-scheduled commercial flights previously operating from Phnom Penh International Airport have been fully transferred to KTI. As a result, flight schedules are expected to continue with minimal disruption.
The new airport is located 25 km from central Phnom Penh, with a typical travel time of around 55 minutes, depending on traffic – slightly longer than the average 45-minute journey to the old airport.

Developed with a US$1.5 billion investment and spanning 26,000,000 sq-m across Kandal and Takeo provinces, Techo is set to significantly boost the country’s global connectivity and support long-term growth in tourism and the wider economy.

Asian Trails’ team participated in operational readiness testing in August and is fully prepared to assist with all travel and logistics arrangements, including transfers to and from the new airport. For details, contact Asian Trails Cambodia.
