New drive to protect Bali’s marine life
Asian Trails is proud to announce the launch of a new sustainable travel experience in Bali, offering travellers the opportunity to engage meaningfully with the island’s natural environment while supporting local conservation efforts.
Located on Serangan Island, south of Sanur, this eco-focused excursion combines education, community engagement and hands-on experiences. A key highlight is a visit to the Turtle Conservation and Education Centre, where guests learn about initiatives to protect endangered sea turtles. The programme raises awareness while supporting the local community by promoting sustainable alternatives to traditional practices.

The journey continues to Rove Garden, where travellers explore mangrove conservation projects aimed at restoring vital coastal ecosystems. Activities include learning about plastic waste reduction, participating in mangrove planting and adopting a tree as part of an ongoing reforestation effort. The experience also includes lunch prepared by the local community using locally sourced ingredients.

As part of Asian Trails’ Sustainable Trails portfolio, the experience maximises positive impact through community involvement and responsible tourism. Each visit contributes directly to turtle conservation and mangrove rehabilitation projects, helping to preserve Bali’s essential coastal ecosystems.
