Macau welcomes first dual-city terminal

Connectivity to Macau has been strengthened with the launch of the MGM Hong Kong International Airport City Terminal in February 2026.

The facility offers self-check-in services, real-time flight information and convenient links to two major regional gateways — Hong Kong International Airport and Zhuhai Jinwan Airport. As Macau’s first dual-city terminal, it enables a smoother and more efficient journey for visitors to the city and the Greater Bay Area.

Located in Cotai, the terminal represents a significant step forward in cross-boundary travel between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. Open daily from 9 am to 6.30 pm, it provides seamless onward transfers, with journey times of approximately 90 minutes to Hong Kong International Airport and around 60 minutes to Zhuhai Airport.

The terminal utilises the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, the world’s longest open-sea fixed link. Spanning 55 km, the bridge–tunnel system comprises three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel and four artificial islands.

This development is set to deliver a premium, streamlined travel experience for both regional and international travellers. For destination insights and travel planning advice, contact Asian Trails China.
