New flights between China and Cambodia

To meet the rising demand for travel between China and Cambodia, two new flight routes have been announced to boost air connectivity between the countries.

Ruili Airlines has officially launched a twice-weekly service connecting Kunming Changshui International Airport in China with Sihanouk International Airport in Cambodia. The inaugural flight on 26 August 2025 was warmly welcomed in Sihanoukville with a traditional dance ceremony. The service operates every Tuesday and Saturday.

Sky Angkor Airlines will introduce a direct route between Macau and Sihanoukville from 2 October 2025. Operating twice weekly, this new connection will provide seamless access from Macau to Cambodia’s southern coastline and nearby island resorts.

These additional routes offer greater flexibility for itinerary planning, allowing travelers to combine urban exploration in Kunming or Macau with relaxing beach escapes along Cambodia’s picturesque coast.

The expansion of air connectivity reflects growing interest in travel between the two countries and presents new opportunities for travel professionals to craft compelling multi-destination itineraries across the region.
