Thailand waives visas for India and Taiwan

Tourists from India and Taiwan will be able to enter Thailand without a visa from 10 November 2023 until 10 May 2024 as part of a government policy to boost tourism during the upcoming high season.

Visitors from the two countries will be able to stay for up to 30 days under the new regulation. Visa requirements for Chinese tourists – the kingdom’s top pre-COVID-19-pandemic tourism market with 11 million of the record 39 million arrivals in 2019 – were scrapped earlier this year.

The latest government data reveals 22 million visitors visited Thailand between January to 29 October 2023, generating 927.5 billion baht (US$25.67 billion).
