An authentic tea experience

Set in Singapore’s vibrant Chinatown, this old-world tea house draws guests into the intricate world of tea-making – an art that dates back almost 3,200 years. Here, in the nation’s first restored conservation shophouse, Asian Trails’ guests can enjoy an authentic and personal experience with a tea master who reveals how tea benefits both mind and body.

This excursion is a fascinating introduction into the background and culture of traditional Chinese tea ceremonies. The activity starts with an introduction to the origins of Chinese tea; an insight into different teas from across the world; and a sampling of multiple brews.

The venue, which was visited by the late Queen Elizabeth II during her last trip to Singapore, offers a choice of Korean, Oriental or Japanese themed rooms. Asian Trails can also arrange lunch at an additional charge. This guided activity is the perfect way to gain an appreciation of tea culture in one of the most appropriate settings in Asia.
