Private Half Day Kowloon Cultural and Life Tour

Your guide will meet you at hotel on appointed time to start half day Kowloon cultural and life tour. Visit Bird Market, Flower Market, Wong Tai Sin Temple, Avenue of Star or the Chi Lin Nunnery. After visit, transfer back to hotel (4 hours without lunch).

Bird Market – With about 70 bird stalls showcasing a variety of melodious songbirds, this garden, with its courtyards & moon gates, is a delight. Songbirds remain a favourite pet of some local men & the garden is testimony to the excessive pampering they receive.

Flower Market – Hong Kong’s Flower Market is a jungle of exotic blooms and scents that’s worth immersing yourself in. The dozens of shops and wholesalers here sell auspicious blossoms and luck-bringing houseplants to an enthusiastic crowd all year round. But the lead up to Chinese New Year is when things really heat up, as families flock towards the market to carefully select flowers and greenery that attract good luck and fortune as a new lunar cycle begins.

Jade Market – This is where the locals buy and sell their jade. Here you can find jade of al kinds in its original or carved forms, pricing from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars.

Wong Tai Sin Temple – At the impressive Wong Tai Sin Temple, all three main religions of China – Buddhism, Taoism & Confucianism – are practiced. The temple is dedicated to Wong Tai Sin, a shepherd who earned immortality through his good deeds. The temple is a shining example of traditional Chinese architecture, with red pillars, a golden ceiling & ornate latticework. The “office” consists of many “soothsayers” & the temple may well house the largest concentration of fortune-tellers in Asia.
