Half Day Living Land Farm
We get an insight into farming culture on this enlightening tour. We will be picked up at the hotel and taken to a rural landscape. Laos is 80 per cent an agrarian country, with an agriculture sector mainly oriented towards the production of rice, known as sticky rice. In the morning or afternoon, depending on the tour taken, we will be transferred to Living Land Farm, an organic farm and a community enterprise run for the benefit of the Lao people. We will learn and practice all steps in rice production, including planting, transplanting and using water buffalos in the cultivation process. This is a pleasant and fun experience that provides immersion into the daily lifestyle of agricultural communities. We then transfer back to the hotel. Please note: This three-hour activity is conducted in the morning from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and the afternoon session is conducted from 1.30 pm to 4.45 pm. We recommend a hat, sunglasses, sun cream and comfortable clothes.
