Full Day Orchid Trek
Get back to nature during a jungle trek in the spectacular Phou Khao Kouay National Park. This breathtaking expanse of natural beauty, situated close to the capital Vientiane, spans over 2,000 sq-km. We will discover a landscape of dense rainforests and meandering rivers that provide a sanctuary for abundant flora and fauna. The wildlife includes deer, gibbons and numerous bird species. A highlight is the many waterfalls that are perfect for a cooling dip after hiking through the greenery. We begin our adventure at 7.30 am with a pickup from our hotel. Accompanied by an orchid specialist, who has been living in Laos for over 20 years, we will get an expert insight into this amazing bio-diversity area. After meeting our guide, we embark on a road trip through the jungle to start our hike at Pha Say Waterfall. This affords an amazing view over a 50-metre gorge. Our walk along shaded paths involves an insight into diverse orchids and medicinal plants. After a picnic by a dry riverbed or near Tad Say waterfall, we enjoy a cooling dip in the natural rock pool, ahead of heading back to Vientiane, arriving in the capital at around 5.30 pm, where this excellent excursion concludes.

Even when it is cloudy, the sun still has an immense power;
