Full Day Pandan Pandan Island Escapade | Naturally Nature
In the morning, the guide and driver will collect us from the hotel lobby and drive to Kota Belud, passing through rustic villages and lush paddy fields. On arrival at Usukan Cove Lodge, we board a boat for the short cruise over to Pandan Pandan Island. This secluded paradise-island boasts beautiful sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and is surrounded by relatively undisturbed coral reefs. On arrival there is free time to relax and snorkel in aquamarine waters to view vibrant corals and rich marine life. We may stumble upon grouper, squid, baby barracudas and snappers. Occasionally, baby turtles and playful dolphins have been spotted. Lunch is a barbecue served on one of the beaches on the island. After lunch, there is time for more snorkelling, or we can take part in coral transplanting and try our hand at traditional net fishing, known as merambat. After freshening up and enjoying some light refreshments back at Usukan Cove Lodge, we begin the journey back to the hotel to arrive at approximately 5 pm.
Route
- Duration: 9.5 hours, with departure at 7.20 am;
- Pick-up time varies based on hotel location;
- Things to bring / wear: Casual wear / beach attire / flip flops / hat / sunglasses / sun lotion / raincoat / sea sickness medication / extra change of clothes (in case of getting wet) / plastic bag for camera, other personal items / extra cash for optional activities;
- This trail programme operates daily on shared basis with English-speaking guide. Any request for guaranteed private land transfer is available with additional charge;
- Cancellation policy: 100% penalty charge for cancellation received within 3 days or less prior to service date & no-show.
- Tours and transfers with English-speaking guide;
- Transportation for tour and transfers (sharing basis) by air-conditioned vehicle, unless otherwise stated;
