Half Day Labuk Bay Sanctuary Tour
In the morning, start your day with a visit to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary in the centre of a mangrove forest near Samawang Village in Sabah. It provides the perfect observation spot of these unique primates that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. These monkeys are forest-dwellers and are limited mainly to coastal swamp forests next to large rivers. This sanctuary was established to protect the monkeys from a proposed palm oil plantation that would have destructed their natural habitat and allows visitors to observe them leaping from tree to tree in a superb, fast and stylish fashion. After finishing the tour, we transfer you back to the hotel.
Route
- Duration: 4 hours, with departure at 8 am (city area) / 8:30 am (Sepilok area);
- Cancellation Policy & No-Show:
- During normal period, 25% charge shall be imposed for any cancellation within 31 days and 100% charge any cancellation within 9 days prior to arrival date and No-Show.
- During July & August, 25% charge shall be imposed for any cancellation within 61 days, 50% charge for any cancellation within 32 days, and 100% charge for any cancellation within 15 days prior to arrival date and No-Show.
- This trail programme operates daily on private basis with English-speaking guide.
